Retail
Our main focus within retail is food and beverage with exciting investment
opportunities to invest into gastro pubs and restaurants. With UK retail
sector sales increasing by 4% each year, this is a massive industry with
endless opportunity: the total value of UK retail sales was £339 billion in 2015.
Pharmaceuticals
Pharmaceuticals
According to the figures contained in April 2016's UK index of production,
the largest contribution to the increase in manufacturing came from the manufacture
of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations, which increased by 8.6%
month on month, the largest rise since February 2014. It is expected that lower costs and
a legacy of R&D investment will drive further growth in 2016.
Financial services
Financial services
The financial services industry is vital for the British economy: it employs
around 1.1 million people and contributes billions of pounds of tax to the
exchequer every year. In 2015 the UK financial services sector continued to
expand, with the significantly rising value of M&A transactions, reflecting
growing confidence and resulting in several £1bn+ deals. 2015 marked
the second successive year since 2011 when overseas acquirers were outnumbered
by private equity, both as investors directly from their funds and via their
portfolio businesses.
